CAROLS IN THE CAPITOL 2023
Wednesday, December 6, 7pm (tentative date and time)
Statuary Hall - US Capitol
In 2016, Capitol Worship and Amerson Music Ministry started a new tradition on The Hill with our “Carols in the Capitol” Christmas concerts. Under the musical production of Steve Amerson, the first Christmas concert for Congress in recent history was held in the beautiful Cannon Caucus Room.
In 2017, it was held in historic Statuary Hall, the original House chamber.
In 2018, Carols in the Capitol was to be held in Statuary Hall after the Capitol Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on the West Lawn, but due to President Bush's death, Carols in the Capitol was held at the Museum of the Bible.
We have held the concert in the beautiful Rayburn Room on the House side of the Capitol and the LBJ Room on the Senate.
Like many other things, Covid cancelled two of our annual concerts.
This year we are happy to return to historic Statuary Hall to ring in the Christmas Season with carols and singing.
